Pain Management

There are many different ways of dealing with pain.

  1. Prevention
By being aware of what triggers your headaches, migraines and backaches, you may be able to prevent them. If you suffer from arthritis, maintaining a healthy lifestyle might help.

  2. Pain Management
Depending on your type of pain, location and duration there are several options available:
    (a) topical analgesic rub
Try Myoflex® for the temporary relief of aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with backache, lumbago, neck ache, strains, sprains, pain of tendons and ligaments
    (b) over-the-counter pain relievers
Over-the-counter pain relievers are very effective and safe when taken as directed. Not all pain relievers are the same. In Canada, you can purchase ASA, acetaminophen or ibuprofen. ASPIRIN contains ASA and is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). ASPIRIN provides effective pain relief and, at a lower dose (81mg or 325mg), can also be used for doctor-supervised preventative therapy.*

  3. Prescription Pain Reliever
    Consult your doctor.

Keeping track of your pain can help you and your doctor establish patterns of your pain, as well as determine which therapy will best work for you. Taking a few minutes to fill in the pain diary each time you have a headache, migraine, arthritis flare-up, or backache. Don’t forget to take your pain diary to your next doctor’s appointment.
