ASPIRIN for Prevention

Q: When should I start an ASPIRIN routine*?
A: This decision should be left up to your doctor. Your doctor will weigh your risk level, (e.g., a man over 40, a woman over 50, overweight, a smoker, etc.) and the clear benefits of an ASPIRIN routine*. However, ASPIRIN is by no means an alternative to the elimination of risk factors.

Q: If I’m on an ASPIRIN routine*, what should I take for pain relief?
A: You should talk with your doctor before taking a pain relief product while on an ASPIRIN routine* for preventative therapy. Clinical studies have suggested that anyone taking ASPIRIN for doctor supervised preventative therapy should not take analgesic products containing ibuprofen as the active ingredient either just before or at the same time. However, if ASPIRIN is taken before ibuprofen, the preventative benefits of ASPIRIN are not affected.
